EvalScience is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on the scientific evaluation of agentic systems.
Information we collect
We may collect information that you choose to provide to us, including:
- your name, email address, affiliation, and subscription preferences, where provided;
- information included in messages, submissions, or collaboration inquiries;
- information you provide when registering for or participating in EvalScience events, community activities, or other programs;
- information you submit through interest or suggestion forms, such as those for mentored projects, working groups, course design, or the research agenda, including whether EvalScience may name you or your affiliation in funding applications;
- your name, affiliation, photo, and website link when you agree to be listed on the website as an organizer, mentor, speaker, or advisor.
We may also receive limited technical information generated through the services used to operate the website and related programs.
How we use information
We may use information you provide to:
- send newsletters, research updates, event notices, and other communications you requested;
- administer EvalScience events, research programs, and community activities;
- respond to questions, submissions, and collaboration inquiries;
- plan programs and, where you have agreed, name you or your affiliation in funding applications;
- list you on the website, with your agreement, as an organizer, mentor, speaker, or advisor;
- operate and improve EvalScience programs and communications.
Service providers
EvalScience uses third-party services to operate parts of its website, communications, events, and related infrastructure.
These may include website hosting, email and newsletter, event registration, submission, and other service providers. Current providers may include Vercel, Beehiiv, Luma, Google (Forms and Sheets), OpenReview, and Resend.
Information processed through those services may also be subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.
Data sharing
EvalScience does not sell personal information.
We may provide information to service providers when necessary to operate the activities described above. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the security or integrity of EvalScience activities.
Event notes
EvalScience publishes written notes from working group sessions and events. These notes summarize discussions without naming participants unless they have agreed to be named. Organizers and speakers may be named with their affiliation.
Email preferences and deletion
You can unsubscribe from EvalScience email communications using the unsubscribe link included in those messages.
You may also contact EvalScience to ask about information you have provided, to be removed from a website listing, or to request deletion, subject to any information that must reasonably be retained for legal, administrative, or research-record purposes.
